Stephen has substantial and recognised experience in creating innovative new directions for complex social policy areas such as suicide prevention, domestic and family violence, mental health, drugs and alcohol, international development and other fields.

He has led and supported many teams, projects and organisations working to reorient systems, develop novel approaches and promote greater justice.

Stephen is available to support you as an individual working in a challenging system or professional environment, or your organisation in its work to build lasting and significant reform in your field.

His expertise includes policy, strategy, research, coaching/mentoring, submissions and grant-writing, project management, professional development, organisational strategy and communications in roles in the NSW and Queensland Governments and in state, national and Asia/Pacific non-government organisations.

Extensively qualified, Stephen has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in sociology and anthropology, and a Master of Political Economy by research both from the University of Sydney, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Business majoring in public administration from the Queensland University of Technology.

He brings broad experience as a journalist, policy writer, program manager, strategist, leader and advocate, as well as deep thinking, strong ethics, expansive knowledge and demonstrated skills to help you achieve your goals.
